As long as you have the install widget installed on your blog, follow these easy steps:
- Log into your blog admin site.
- Go to "plugins" and "install plugin" in your dashboard.
- Copy and paste this link into the "remote file" block and hit "install file"
- Then go to "manage plugins" and click "activate" next to the sidebar widgets plugin.
This will create the "Sidebar Widgets" menu item in your "Presentation" section.
Super easy!

Probably the most functional and most helpful plugin I’ve ever run across. This plugin will make your life so easy when it comes to installing new themes and plugins. It adds buttons and commands to your WordPress dashboard within "Presentations" to install and manage thems and "Plugins" to install and manage plugin.
Happily, this plugin rids us of the behind the scenes managment we used to deal with. Sadly, it still needs to be installed before you can use it. New accounts will have this installed for them. Older account holders (not your personal age, but in relation to when this plugin was discovered) can install using the link below or email us requesting the install for your account.
I hope this plugin makes all your blogging days even more fun than they were before!

We’ll be honest, adding themes can be tough for poeple who haven’t done it before. While it may seem tough at first, it is actually quite easy. To help you learn how to do this process for yourself, we’ve written a full color tutorial that gives you a step by step. It is filled with details and images to help you figure this out. We’re really proud of this one, so we hope you find it useful. Click here to download the file.

We think you’ll be surprised at how easy it will be to switch over from Blogger. Will there be new things to learn? Yes, of course. Is it worth the adjustment to get a more attractive and reliable blog? Absolutely! Once you select a plan and sign up, we’ll have the software installed and ready to run before your domain propagates (that’s the 24-72 hour time period it takes for all computers everywhere to learn where to send people when they type in your web address). Inside your admin panel for your blog you will find a nifty button that says "import". Click it, type in your Blogger user name and password, and within seconds all of your posts and comments at Blogger will be imported into your new blog and will even be reformatted to match your theme. There are options to import from other blog servers as well, so you’re not limited to Blogger files.

It is surprisingly easy to move your web site to our servers. In fact, if you follow these steps, you can do it with no down time at all. The most important thing to remember is to NOT cancel your existing service until you are sure you are up and running with us. Contact us at any time to help for help. To move your web site, follow these directions:
- Do not change anything about or delete your existing site.
- Sign up for a Community Blog and Web Plan.
- You’ll receive an email with a temporary link to your new website location and passwords to access your site by FTP.
- Use FTP or some web publishing software to upload your existing website files to your domain folder.
- Use the temporary site link (found in your welcome email) to make sure your new site is fully functional.
- Once you have verified that new site is working like you want it to, go to your domain registrar and change your name servers to those mentioned in the welcome email. These should be ns235.websitewelcom.com and ns236.websitewelcome.com.
- Your site will redirect to your new hosting location within 72 hours. If you check your site after 72 hours and it is working properly, you can contact your previous host to cancel your service.
- Last step, enjoy your new service with us!
- Possible additional step: If you use your existing web host for email, you will want to set up your existing email accounts in the control panel of our admin site with us.

We have selected WordPress as the software for our blog plans. It is much more powerful than the free stuff you’ll get with other sites and more attractive than the stuff that free blog sites provide. It does take a little bit of learning to figure it out some of the features, but we’re here to help you the whole way. WordPress comes with great features and has lots of plug ins you can use. There are extensive documents with the software to give you tips, but you can always drop us a line to find our more by visiting our
contact us page.

Presentation in WordPress is driven by something that is called a "theme". The theme controls how your blog site is presented to your viewers by defining headers, sidebars, colors, fonts, and many other things. For those who have great knowledge of designing pages, making your own theme can be fun. The rest of us, however, will enjoy the hundreds of great looking themes that are available for use with your blog. Click here to see a sampling of what you can use.
Understand, these themes do not come with the initial install of WordPress. Relax, we’ll install the first couple for you. Just pick out which ones you like and let us know. It is also a good idea for you to learn how to download and install your own themes. We’ll help you with that as well.
